Description
It had rained that morning and was still a bit cloudy. The sky was gray, but birds were singing and it felt like the day was going to brighten at any moment. This lovely peach-colored Iris stood tall against the gloom of the lingering damp. The water droplets were still clinging to the delicate ruffles of the soft petals. I thought this gave a feeling of persistence and standing tall during hard times. It made me hear my Mom's voice and feel her presence, because she loved to say, "This too shall pass!"
