Description
I do not see Pipevine Swallowtails very often, but when I do I grab my camera and follow it around relentlessly until it finally gets annoyed and flies away. This may be the most beautiful one I have seen. I just love the deep blue and contrasting orange. If you look closely you can see that the body is also a deep iridescent indigo blue. These tall purple verbena flowers are butterfly magnets!
Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

The butterfly and flower are clear as can be but really like your background that has a nice painterly effect ! V&F
