Description
This is a sketch I did while in high school. It is pen on paper in a style called "cross hatching." It is a drawing that I did as an idea for a painting that I later painted. I really loved that painting. It was bright colors and she was encircled by a large bubble that I imagined had floated towards the viewer. It was a large square canvas . . . but I painted it to be hung as a diamond . . . for the feeling of floating like a bubble.
It was big and we had a lot of artwork in our house (many artists in the family!) so I gave it to a friend who then hung it in his dentist office. Don't know what ever happened to it . . . but I hope it made some people smile as they waited their turn in the dentist chair!
Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!

Real nice Karen - and to be perfectly clear, great work on this! Don’t know how many of these I did back in 1973-1974. My art teacher’s name was - no kidding - Art Love. Loved that guy - learned many things from that man. No matter - doesn’t matter this day and age - nobody cares. What matters is YOUR ART - great work Karen!
