Description
My Dad was an artist. He loved the earth, everything from butterflies to wood to rocks to glass. He was always busy and much of his life he spent outdoors. He knew the name of every butterfly and most birds. He could put his hands together to imitate the sound of a few. We went camping a lot. We went hiking a lot. He and mom recycled as far back as I can remember. We went to political rallies sponsored by environmental groups. They loved this beautiful world and instilled that in their children and grandchildren.
This is one of my favorite paintings by Dad. I know he painted this with a great love and great desire to capture the beauty of the nature in front of him.
