November first was the first day this year that I saw an American Painted Lady butterfly in my garden! I had really given up hope that I would see one, which really saddened me because they used to be quite common in my garden. They really are well named butterflies. This shot is pretty much as it came from my camera . . . the golden background was a blur of the Fall foliage of my garden.
