Description
This is a favorite spot for my grandchildren to play! They climb around the roots. They play with sticks and thrown pebbles in the water. They love being outside and in nature which really makes me happy! As they play, I hang back and drink in the joy of children playing and exploring in the world. I also frame images in my mind to come back later and try to capture with my camera.
I wish you could see the extent of the roots of this tree! It is absolutely incredible that it is still standing. On the other side are three large 'caves' formed by the roots clinging on to the ground in such a precarious way! I always imagine wild animals using these natural alcoves to curl up and sleep in through the nights. Then I wonder how those big rocks got to this resting place. What force tossed them down the stream and left them piled in a heap?
This is a black and white version that I really like because it seems to highlight those rocks!
Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!
