Description
This is a Spicebush Swallowtail Butterfly photographed in Columbus, Ohio . . . July 20, 2016. I was out in my garden early knowing the meteorologists had called for a hot and humid day. It was dad's birthday and I was missing him terribly. Into my view fluttered this little beauty, missing a bit of his tails, but still in good shape. He landed on my bright coral pink Lantana flower for just a brief moment and then flew away. It was a gentle and much needed kiss from above.
