Description
We have a fun saying in Ohio, "If you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes and it will change!" (or something like that!) Anyway, especially in early winter we have constantly changing weather. The morning may be snowing and by late afternoon we might be outside with just sweaters on and not a flake of snow to be seen. Well, this day started out in the early morning darkness with freezing rain drizzling down on an inch of snow from the previous day. Roads and sidewalks were slick! Trees were glazed over and some branches snapped off from the weight of that ice. By mid-morning it was warming up and that glaze was really getting slippery with a watery top to the frozen surface. This is what the snowy mix looked like under the protection of a River birch tree in our backyard. Finally by early afternoon, all of the white was gone and just brown mud and grass remained. The next week our temperatures were in the teens and now we reached 60 degrees just a few days later!
Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!
