I do not know anything about cars. My husband could drive right by me and I probably would not know it is him unless he would wave at me . . . but this one definitely caught my eye and my attention!
I had been at the Park of Roses taking nature pictures of the beautiful Fall Ohio day. I really wasn't excited about any of the shots I had taken and finally remembered the items I needed from the grocery, so I headed there. I parked kind of far from the door and ran in (I always do that, one of my very least favorite things to do in the whole world is grocery shop!) I do it quickly. When I hurried back out to my car, this was parked right next to mine. I slowed down and just looked at this miracle of the road.
When I look at the front of cars, I don't notice the make or model, I see a face and this old guy sure had some stories to tell! He was immediately a marvel and a mystery. I am so glad that I still had my camera in my car and I quickly tried to get a few shots of this beauty! Every hole, rust crevice and crack must have had a story to it. Where has he been? How far has he traveled and what has he seen in his long life and many journeys? I will never know. He was not the talkative type, but the wonder leaves space for my mind to travel now and I hope yours as well! I hope you too will enjoy a sentimental journey with me.
From what I can make out, this is a Chevy Apache 10, made around 1960-61.
